In our midst, a scientific revolution is taking place: medical science has now seized control of the very mechanisms of life itself. Throughout human history, aging was an inevitable part of every person’s life. Now, longevity scientists tell us that aging is a physiologic process they can modulate. Science today has the power to slow aging and may soon attain the power to stop – and even to reverse – the aging process. This sounds like science from a far-off future, but it’s not. As Dr. Nir Birzalai says in Forever Young:, “This is science now — it’s not science fiction.”
Forever Young is a feature-length documentary film, directed by David Donnelly and produced by James Johnson. The film examines not only the substance but the implications of the incredible advances in longevity science being made around us.
I appear in Forever Young as one of the experts who explain the science, and I am also a consulting producer on the film.
